Winner of Travel Award 2019 - BP Portrait Competition at the National Portrait Gallery

London welcomed me after 15 years for the BP Portrait Award Dinner and Private View. I’m thrilled to share that I am this year’s recipient of the BP Travel Award. My proposal to paint portraits of volunteers that run the free kitchen (Langar Hall) serving over 50,000 visitors daily at the Harmandar Sahib in Amritsar, India (holiest of Sikh Temples also known as the “Golden Temple”) was chosen out of approximately 20 applicants for the prize. I’ll travel to India in October 2019 and the resulting paintings will be exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London for the BP Portrait Exhibition 2020.
